The Paris-based studio Atelier QDB recently unveiled Tokens, its new video game, at the 2026 Pégases awards ceremony. This independent project is already attracting attention thanks to its original concept... and the presence of two IIM graduates on its team. This is yet another fine illustration of the place that the school's graduates occupy in the video game industry.
- Paul Leduc (class of 2023) is a gameplay programmer at Atelier QDB. A graduate of the IIM's Master's in Video Game Programming, he first joined the studio in 2023 for an internship as a Unity C# programmer. At the end of this experience, he continued the adventure by turning his internship into a professional collaboration and now works as a freelance gameplay programmer on Tokens.
- Gabriel Sauvage (class of 2019) is a sound designer, composer, and creative director. CEO and Creative Director of the independent studio Distant Shore, he also works as a freelancer for the industry and contributed to Tokens by designing and implementing its sound effects.
The project is led by Atelier QDB, an independent Parisian studio founded in 2020 by Quentin De Beukelaer, who worked at Ubisoft on several major episodes of the Assassin's Creed saga, including Assassin's Creed III, Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, and Assassin's Creed Unity... and who has been a teacher to Game Design students at IIM (design documentation, creative direction, economic design, narrative design).
A small world where training, professional experience, and innovation in video games come together!
