A graduate of IIM Digital School (class of 2021), Thomas Mantilla is now transforming history into spectacular experiences. He is now a 3D artist at Excurio, a studio specializing in large-scale immersive virtual reality expeditions.
His job? Designing ultra-realistic 3D environments—architectures, cities, objects, landscapes—integrated into Unity, while adhering to strict scientific standards. Each setting is built in collaboration with historians and experts to ensure a credible and faithful immersion.
Among the notable projects he has contributed to are:
- Eternal Notre Dame: a breathtaking dive into the history of the cathedral.
- The Last Ramparts: immersion in the medieval city of Carcassonne.
- The Secret of the Builders: set sail for ancient Egypt with a spectacular reconstruction of boats transporting monumental blocks on the Nile.
