A 2008 graduate of EMLV, Olivier Doin is the founder of Marin d'Eau Douce, a company that offers license-free electric boat rentals in the city center. His career path illustrates how management training can lead to a concrete and sustainable entrepreneurial project.
After studying finance at EMLV, followed by a master's degree, Olivier began his career at Danone, where he worked on developing a catering concept.
His entrepreneurial spirit remained strong. It came to fruition after a conversation with his future partner, Nicolas Couderc: in Paris, leisure activities are mainly aimed at tourists. Why not come up with an activity designed for residents?
The first base opened in 2014 on the Bassin de la Villette. It was an instant success!
Today, Marin d'Eau Douce operates more than 200 boats in the Île-de-France region (Boulogne, Levallois, Bougival) and plans to open new locations, notably in Cergy-Pontoise. Faced with a scarcity of bodies of water, the company is also diversifying its activities: tree-top adventures, open-air cafés, and new offerings at the Domaine de Chantilly.
