Careers, questions, ambitions... and the desire to share knowledge!

On Tuesday, February 3, around sixty alumni and students from the Léonard de Vinci campus gathered for the I Meet My Mentor after-work event, a networking event designed to bring the Devinci Alumni mentoring program to life. Twenty-three stories above La Défense, in the offices of APEC, a partner of the Léonard de Vinci campus, the setting was worthy of the ambitions!

Short moments, big lessons

The evening was based on a “speed meeting” format: in just a few minutes, each student was able to present their background, goals, and career questions. On the other side, alumni had the opportunity to share their experience, their vision of the profession, and practical advice. This dynamic format allowed participants to get straight to the point: searching for an internship or work-study program, choosing a specialization, starting a career, but also discussing the doubts and hesitations that everyone experiences at some point.

In the words of one alumnus: “Simple, concrete, and very rich exchanges that remind us of the usefulness of mentoring in supporting the first steps of a professional career.”

Devinci Alumni Mentoring: Supporting Every Career Path

The mentoring program connects students, recent graduates, and professionals undergoing career transitions with experienced alumni, providing support tailored to each individual's needs.

For students, it's an opportunity to gain a better understanding of a sector, get an outside perspective on a project, receive quality feedback, and start building their professional network. For alumni, being a mentor means having a real impact, developing key interpersonal skills, and staying connected to new generations.

Exchanges can take the form of a few meetings spread over several months or a more one-off meeting, depending on expectations and availability.

A network that is becoming a reality

That evening, the Devinci Alumni community came into its own: beyond the platform, beyond the directory, it took shape in faces, voices, and meaningful exchanges.

Finance, engineering, digital, entrepreneurship, consulting... Graduates and students from EMLV, ESILV, IIM, and De Vinci Executive Education were represented, reflecting the diversity of profiles and sectors within the network.

Beyond technical advice, it is often trust that is built during these meetings: hearing an alumnus talk about their beginnings, their doubts, their career pivots... All of these elements help to project oneself with greater clarity.

One thing's for sure: on Tuesday evening, the Devinci Alumni network fully played its role—connecting career paths and sharing experiences!
