Joseph Dahirel (EMLV 2023), co-founder of Skwheel, stands up for the project on TV show "Qui Veut Être Mon Associé"
No more waiting for the snow to feel the thrill of the downhill!
Joseph Dahirel, who graduated from EMLV in 2023, is co-founder and CFO of Skwheel, the world's very first electric skis. A game changer in the world of snow sports!
EMLV, a stepping stone to entrepreneurship
After 3 years of study at EMLV, I decided to take a year off to make my entrepreneurial dream come true.
After completing the Negotiation and Business Management course at the Pôle, Joseph Dahirel quickly turned his attention to entrepreneurship. Armed with his financial and strategic skills, and a passion for extreme sports, he teamed up with Antoine and Romain Massebeuf to found Skwheel with one idea in mind: to push back the boundaries of sports innovation.
The off-road electric ski
Skwheel was conceived with the aim of making the sensations of skiing accessible in all conditions, whatever the terrain or weather. Its innovative and daring concept offers an alternative to snow-covered slopes, with an electric system that replicates the mobility and freedom of traditional skiing.
Equipped with patented directional wheels, our unique product allows you to ski on a variety of surfaces, such as dirt, sand, road or forest, while guaranteeing an incomparable gliding experience.
This project represents 8 years of R&D, 6 registered patents and the opening of pre-sales last February. The machine is up and running!
Enhanced visibility through “Qui veut être mon associé?”
The Skwheel team took part in the program “Qui veut être mon associé?” broadcast on M6 on February 12, 2025, in which they pitched the project to a panel of potential investors. This intervention enabled them to benefit from a spotlight that offered them not only increased visibility, but also invaluable advice for fine-tuning their strategy.
